Our PMC birth story began shortly after we found out we were having twins, our third and fourth children, in 2008.  We were still living in Minnesota when the twin pregnancy was diagnosed, but moved back to Conrad shortly thereafter.  Since we had two other young children and extended family here, it was very important to us to be able to doctor and give birth locally in Conrad.  We were fortunate to find Dr. Peter Barran, who saw us as soon as we got settled in town.  Dr. Barran is wonderful; he always made time for my concerns and
questions, had excellent advice, and was willing to listen to me. 
Since twins are considered a high-risk pregnancy, we also saw a perinatologist in Great Falls, who fully supported our goal of giving birth at PMC.  As we neared the end, I had several stress tests at PMC to make sure the babies were doing well.  The PMC doctors and nursing team worked together with the doctor in Great Falls, and I always felt like my care was a priority.
Our birth day came along after a healthy, full-term twin pregnancy of 38 weeks.  Steele and Scarlet joined our family on August 29, 2008, following a rapid labor and natural birth for each baby.  The PMC birth team of Dr. Barran, Dr. Jay Taylor, nurses, and other support personnel were amazing, and exceeded our expectations.  They were all highly professional, skilled, and sincere. 
Our older two children were born in large state-of-the-art medical centers in the Minneapolis area. I feel the care we received at PMC was just as medically and professionally sound, and yet more personalized than my previous two births.  We were totally comfortable following the twins' births, and being in Conrad, surrounded by our family, meant a lot to us.
I couldn't have asked for a better birth experience with my twins than what we had at PMC.  All of our needs were met throughout pregnancy and birth, and we went home with two healthy babies joining our family.
