| One of our newest on-site additions to our department is our state-of-the-art GE Lunar Bone Density scanner. This scanner is used most often to diagnosis osteoporosis; a condition affects women after menopause but may also be found in men. Osteoporosis involves a gradual loss of calcium, as well as structural changes, causing bones to become thinner, more fragile and more likely to break.
