Sleep Medicine
Dr. David E. Anderson comes to PMC from Rocky Mountain Sleep Disorders Centers
Inc. He began practicing pulmonary medicine in Great Falls in 1976. His interest in sleep medicine began
in 1982 and he established himself as the first sleep medicine practitioner in Montana. Since then, Dr.
Anderson assisted in establishing the first independent sleep disorders center in the state and was active in helping some
insurance companies develop policies which were adaptable to this new center. He is board certified in
sleep medicine and sees both sleep and pulmonary patients for consults and follow-ups. Dr. Anderson welcomes

Rollin W. Bearss, MD
Urology
Dr. Rollin W. Bearss comes to PMC from Plains Urology. He has
been providing medical services to Great Falls and North Central Montana for 2 years. Dr. Bearss is Board
Certified in Urology and received his MD diploma at Wayne State University. Dr. Bearss is married to Maggie
and has 4 children; Joe, Karen, Cameron and Dessarae and 2 grandchildren; Nathan and Madison. He enjoys
small-scale farming, horses, pack trips, woodworking and traveling. He enjoys the western rural culture
and low-key pace of Great Falls. He states “It’s nice to live in a community with down to earth

Chad Engan, MD
General Surgeon
Dr. Chad Engan comes to PMC from The Great Falls Surgical Associates and works
in close correlation with Drs. Mortenson and Mungus. Dr. Engan attended New York Medical College, where
he received his medical degree in 1998. Upon completion, Dr. Engan embarked on a five-year surgical residency
at Kern Medical Center. Dr. Engan is board-certified, with special interest in gastrointestinal and breast
conditions, as well as laparoscopic or minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Engan is visits PMC twice a month.

Perry Birky, MD
Gynecology
Dr. Birky has been a leading gynecologist in the Kalispell medical community since 1981.
He recently retired from his Kalispell practice and is looking forward to serving more patients in selected locations.
He completed his Internship and Residency in 1980 at Wilmington Medical Center, Wilmington DE. He
is Board certified in OB/GYN. Dr. Birky will be seeing patients at Pondera Medical Center Clinic the second

James Blasingame, MD
Orthopedic Surgery
Dr. James Blasingame, MD comes to PMC from Northwest Orthopedic & Sports Medicine
in Kalispell. Dr. Blasingame came to Kalispell in December of 2005 with the vision of building a premier
group of orthopedic specialists. The group has already grown to four boarded Orthopedic Surgeons and is
recruiting. Dr. Blasingame has a Fellowship in Knee Surgery and Sports Medicine. He
is a graduate of Case Western Reserve unit School of medicine in Cleveland, Ohio (1974) and completed his Internship, Residencies
and Fellowship training at the University of California, San Diego (1980). Dr. Blasingame will be seeing

Karl Oehrtman, MD
Otolaryngology
Dr. Karl Oehrtman comes to PMC from Glacier Ear Nose & Throat in Kalispell. Dr. Oehrtman completed
his residency in Ear, Nose & Throat, Head & Neck Surgery at Ohio State University in 1983. He is
board certified. He moved to Kalispell, Montana, after his residency and has enjoyed practicing in Kalispell
from 1983 to the present. Because of his interest in sinus surgery and the link between allergy and sinus
disease, Dr. Oehrtman completed an Allergy Fellowship in 1997. Dr. Oehrtman enjoys taking care of surgical
problems with the thyroid and parathyroid, head and neck cancer surgery, as well as treat of pediatric ear, nose and throat
problems, such as tonsils, adenoids, and ear tubes. Dr. Oehrtman will be holding an outreach clinic at
Pondera Medical Center and will initially be seeing patients on the second Monday of each month. Please

Anthony Galeo, MD
Cardiology
Dr. Anthony Galeo comes to
PMC from Cardiowest in Great Falls. Anthony Galeo, MD, FACC graduated from the Robert Wood Johnson School
of Medicine of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Interventional
Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease. He came to the Great Falls and North Central Montana community from Richmond, Virginia.
He enjoys reading, particularly US and World history. His wife, Amy Elizabeth Martin, MD, is a general surgeon specializing
in Bariatric Breast and Laparoscopic Surgery. She has an office located at the Benefis West Campus. They have a wonderful
son, Dante. Dr. Galeo and his family love spending time outdoors fly fishing and hiking. They also enjoy fine art and antique
collectibles. They love the beautiful mountains and enjoy the small town feel of Great Falls. Dr. Galeo has been practicing
