PMC has 24-hour-a day OB coverage. During your stay at PMC, you can expect personal one on one attention from qualified, experienced professionals. PMC now offers epidural and intrathecal pain control for our Obstetrical patients.

Your childbirth experience will begin with our family practitioners, who have a personal commitment to expectant mothers and families. They pride themselves on making your experience unique and meeting your personal needs. Dr. Peter Barran states, “Children are a great blessing and I believe every person should have the opportunity to become a parent. For this reason, I offer basic infertility evaluation and treatment in my practice.”

Pondera Medical Center Pampered Mother's Club offers a complete program to assist you from the beginning of your pregnancy through labor and delivery. Chris and Jeremy Vermulm delivered their second child at PMC, and stated “Although our first child was delivered outside of Conrad, we learned more in our second pregnancy at PMC. Dr. Barran made us feel far more prepared and educated on what to expect in the delivery process. PMC’s personal touch and constant care made our experience one we will never forget.” Cassie and Ty DeVries, are about to deliver their second child at Pondera Medical Center. “We are fortunate to have a local facility and physician with such expertise. We love the personal care we receive and couldn’t imagine going elsewhere.”

PMC offers free childbirth and labor education, pre-birth planning, a modern and comfortable birthing room, lactation consulting, and exceptional "one-to-one" nursing care not often found in larger facilities. Dr. Shawn Nesbo said, “Delivering babies is the most rewarding part of my job. To be a part of such an important moment in someone’s life is an honor.” Topping it off, mom and baby receive a gift basket, including a personalized poem with baby’s footprints. Mother and guest will receive a "stork" dinner of steak or prawns during their stay.
